Classic Hostess Gifts

  • 1 min read

The holidays are in full swing and the last thing you want to do is show up to a party empty-handed.

Say thank you to the hostess by bringing a thoughtful gift. Simple and inexpensive gifts are a gracious way to show your appreciation.

Flowers in a vase

Don’t make your hostess search for a vase, she has enough to do already. Bring flowers in a vase.

Gourmet chocolates

This gift says, 'Here is something you can indulge in by yourself after the party!" Make it a small enough box of chocolate that it wouldn't be appropriate to share with the guests at the party.

A bottle of wine

This gift is great because it's a 'Hostess’ choice' if it gets opened at the party or after. Either way, it's a win.

Homemade [FILL IN THE BLANK]

Do you make the hostess’ most favorite sugar cookies in the world? A tin of those is perfect. Or forget the tin and pack them in a storage container that you are okay never seeing again (remember this gift is all about the recipient's comfort, not yours).

Pumpkin spiced something

Really. It’s a trend and you might as well jump on this bandwagon. Even if the hostess doesn’t like pumpkin spice she can easily re-gift it or use it in an upcoming White Elephant gift exchange.
